Learn how to screen print with water based inks on textile, paper and other flat surfaces
We offer private, one-to-one courses that are tailored to your needs and level of expertise. We also offer workshops for small groups and team-building events.
You can enrol as a beginner with no prior knowledge of screen printing, or if you already have some experience, we can focus on the skills you want to improve.
During the workshop, you will learn how to minimise the environmental impact of your screen printing projects.
There will be an opportunity to purchase printing frames, squeegees, inks and materials such as t-shirts, bags and paper. You can also bring your own items to print on.
The language of the course is English.
Topics covered during a workshop for beginners include:
- what is screen printing?
- what kinds of projects are suitable for screen printing?
- how to prepare an image for screen printing, either digitally (with Photoshop and Illustrator) or manually
- how to choose the screen printing frame for your project
- how to choose the ink for your project and how to prepare it for printing
- how to set up a screen printing station
- washing, coating with emulsion and exposing a screen printing frame
- printing your desired items
- taking care of the printing frame after printing
- curing your prints
